This is by far the best Indian food I've had in hamilton. Actually some of the best food I've had in hamilton period. Easy to miss as it's in the basement of another resteraunt (weird I know.) but the food is crazy good! Get the tika masala with a side order of garlic naan if your a professional.

One of my favourite Indian places ever. I leave every time thinking about when Ill return. Ive had their curries and biryani and the different naans (love the potato naan!). The only criticism is that food can take a while to come. Otherwise, nothing but good things to say!

Big portion of pakora appetizer and nan bread. The thali's were standard sized. Servers were nice, it was cool temp inside and we wore our coats while eating. Flavour was bland 3/10 with the butter chicken tasting like it was cooked in tomato soup. Spice was not happening. totally wanted to try this place based on positive reviews. Sadly I should have read all the reviews more thoroughly as others have given similar feedback previously. So I
Update on leftovers: after a few glasses of wine the next day, and little else in the fridge, the leftovers tasted great cold. Perhaps my earlier review was as a bit harsh? Both were honest, but only one included alcohol -

Go here for a yummy and inexpensive Indian meal. I went with a group of four. We ordered four dishes, some Naan and rice and it all came to about $70. We had leftovers and were stuffed from the meal.
The food was really solid. Chicken vindaloo was very spicy but tasty. Palaak paneer was nice and creamy. Fish masala was a bit bland and mostly tomato sauce. The rice portions are large.
This is a great place for a small group and a casual meal. It's not fancy and even a tad grungy, so don't go here for a romantic date.
This would also be a great take-out option because of the cheap and plentiful dishes. -

Came here on Supercrawl for dinner before heading out and checking out the fest. Large group: 12 people in total.
This review has precisely two good points.
1. They had lots of space for us.
2. Their service was quick.
Ok a third point: their naan was good.
We ordered 9 curries between us.
Taka tak curry, roghan josh, karahi chicken and karahi lamb, as well as matar paneer, chole and bhaigan bartha.
The curries were too sweet, the karahi and roghan josh curries have tomato where they shouldn't. Not enough meat.
Dissapointing experience, to be very honest. This was my first time and had been meaning to check the place out cuz my friends had been here many times before.
I guess the place is decent for groups and is probably the most decent place for Indian food in the downtown, but honestly if you can drive a little, go to India Village (Dundas).
